Problem 1: Starting Issues (Won't Start or Hard to Start)

Symptoms:

  • Engine cranks but won't start
  • Requires multiple kick/electric start attempts
  • Starts only with choke even when warm

Common Causes & Solutions:

Cause 1: Clogged Fuel Filter

Solution: Replace RAK00002/B Fuel Pump Strainer (Reborn, Meteor, Hunter 350)

We've seen 50+ cases where a ₹200 fuel filter solved starting problems owners thought were engine issues.

Cause 2: Dirty Air Filter

Solution: Replace air filter:

Cause 3: Weak Battery

Solution: Test battery voltage (should be 12.6V+). Replace if below 12.4V.

Solution: Replace spark plugs (NGK CR8EH-9 for 650 twins, check manual for other models)

Problem 2: Oil Leaks

Symptoms:

  • Low oil level despite recent top-up

Common Causes & Solutions:

Cause 1: Worn Clutch Cover Gasket

Solution: Replace 1570109/E Clutch Cover Gasket (Reborn, Meteor, Hunter 350)

This is the #1 oil leak source on J-Series models. ₹150 gasket vs ₹500 wasted oil.

Typical lifespan: 30,000-40,000 km. Replace entire kit, not individual plates.

Cause 2: Stretched or Frayed Clutch Cable

Solution: Replace clutch cable:

We've had 3 cable failures on highways. Replace at 30,000 km preventatively.
