Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • Always replace chain and both sprockets together to avoid rapid wear.

  • Have the kit installed by a trained technician using correct torque and alignment methods.

  • After installation, adjust chain slack to Royal Enfield spec and re-check after the first 200–300 km as the new chain beds in.

  • Cleaning: use kerosene or a good chain cleaner plus a soft brush; avoid petrol or harsh solvents that can damage X-rings.

  • Lubrication: lube every 450–600 km (or sooner in rain and dust) with a quality motorcycle chain lube; wipe off excess to reduce fling.
