Maddog Lycan is the dual-beam all-rounder in the Maddog performance line-up – designed for riders who want both long-range throw and wide flood in one serious auxiliary light. Each pod uses a precision-engineered 7-LED Nichia array, delivering a combined 10,800 raw lumens (pair) while drawing 80W at 14.5V DC, making it ideal for powerful 12V motorcycles.

The Lycan’s optics are tuned to a 60% spot / 40% flood hybrid pattern. The high beam gives you a focused spot of up to ~250 m for highway and trail riding, while the low beam offers ~150 m of usable spread with ~180° wide flood – perfect for fog, rain, ghats and broken roads. In real-world use, Lycan replaces the need for separate spot and fog lamps, simplifying your cockpit while upgrading safety.

A robust CNC aluminium housing, optical-grade polycarbonate lens, stainless steel clamps/fasteners and IP67 dust/waterproof rating mean Lycan is built for Indian monsoons and rough touring. Colour temperature in the 5000–5700K warm white band improves contrast in rain and dust without the harsh glare of blue-tinted LEDs.

Backed by an 18-month official Maddog warranty and rated up to 50,000 hours of life, Maddog Lycan is a premium, OEM-grade solution for Royal Enfield tourers, KTM ADV riders, Xpulse/Dominar owners and anyone who rides serious distances at night.

Key Features

  • 80W dual-beam auxiliary LED lights (pair) with 10,800 raw lumens for serious night visibility.

  • Hybrid 60% spot / 40% flood beam – 250 m spot high beam plus 150 m, ~180° wide low beam.

  • 7 x Nichia LEDs per pod – premium Japanese LED technology for brightness, colour accuracy and longevity.

  • Dual-beam control – independent spot/flood switching when used with compatible harness and dual switch.

  • Supports multiple brightness modes (100% / 60% / 40%) in typical installations for city, touring and off-road use.

  • IP67 water and dust protection with CNC aluminium body and optical polycarbonate lens.

  • 5000–5700K warm white colour temperature – better performance in rain, fog and dusty conditions than blue-white LEDs.

  • Rated lifespan up to 50,000 hours with proper installation and stable electricals.

  • 18-month official Maddog warranty – far superior to generic aux lights with no support.

  • Universal 12V compatibility – suitable for Royal Enfield, KTM, Bajaj, Hero, TVS, Yamaha, Honda, BMW and more with correct mounts and wiring.

Compatibility Table

Maddog Lycan is a universal auxiliary light. Fitment depends on available mounting points, clearance and correct wiring. Always use a relay-based harness and professional installation for high-power aux lights.

FAQs:

Q1. How is Maddog Lycan different from generic 7-LED fog lights?
Lycan is a dual-beam engineered system, not a basic 7-LED pod. It offers a tuned 60% spot / 40% flood pattern, independent control of beams (with the right switch), OEM-grade Nichia LEDs, IP67 rating, a proper harness option and an 18-month official warranty – making it a long-term investment instead of a disposable light.

Q2. Will Maddog Lycan fit my Royal Enfield / Xpulse / Dominar / KTM ADV?
Yes, Lycan is a universal 12V auxiliary light and can be installed on most motorcycles with a safe mounting point and relay-based harness. It is widely used on Royal Enfield Classic, Bullet, Meteor, Himalayan, Hunter, KTM ADV series, Hero Xpulse, Bajaj Dominar/NS, Yamaha MT/R15 and many more. Always check clearance with fairings, mudguards and crash guards.

Q3. Do I need a relay wiring harness, or can I connect directly to the headlight?
Because Lycan is an 80W high-power auxiliary light (pair), it should not be connected directly to your stock headlight wiring. A dedicated relay-based harness with inline fuse is essential to protect switches, ECU and wiring, and to ensure stable brightness.

Q4. Can I use Lycan at lower brightness for city riding?
Yes. With a suitable switch and wiring, many setups allow multiple brightness modes (for example 100% / 60% / 40%). You can run Lycan on a lower setting in city traffic and use full power on highways or off-road sections.

Q5. Is Maddog Lycan waterproof and safe for heavy rain and off-road touring?
Lycan is rated IP67 dust and water proof, with a sealed aluminium body, polycarbonate lens and stainless fasteners. When installed correctly, it is suitable for Indian monsoons, slushy trails and long-distance touring.
