NGage HBS 164 is a high-performance sintered-metal motorcycle brake pad developed for riders who want strong friction, high heat resistance and consistent braking under repeated use. The HBS 164 pad profile is used across several motorcycles, including multiple current Royal Enfield models.

Important: HBS 164 is not the correct brake pad for every position on every motorcycle. What Is a Sintered Brake Pad?

Sintered brake pads use a friction material formed by fusing metallic powders and friction modifiers under high heat and pressure. NGage describes its sintered formulation as containing copper, steel/iron, brass, graphite, carbon fibres and molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂).

The sintered construction is intended to deliver strong braking performance and thermal stability when the brake system is exposed to repeated braking, heavier loads, highway use, touring, off-road riding or demanding conditions.
