The Red Rooster Performance Vertex Chrome (Polish) Exhaust is a premium, model-specific upgrade for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 and Scram 411 adventure tourers. On the official RRP site, Vertex Polish is clearly marked as compatible only with Himalayan / Scram 411, with a dedicated finish selector for Polish, Black and Matte variants – no “universal” confusion.

Built from Grade 304 stainless steel (SS304) and packed with ceramic wool, Vertex Polish offers far better thermal resistance and exhaust flow than a basic mild-steel or glass-wool silencer. The polished chrome finish adds a premium, factory-plus look to your ADV, while the internal design is tuned to deliver a deep, throaty exhaust note, stronger mid-range torque and crisper throttle response. RRP’s own FAQ states you can experience up to 10% increase in power and torque with their exhausts.

At approximately 3.118 kg, Vertex is lighter than many OEM cans, aiding agility without compromising strength. Installation is a straightforward bolt-on to the stock header, with no cutting or welding required. RRP backs Vertex with a lifetime warranty against rust and manufacturing defects, as clearly mentioned in their official FAQ block.

If you want your Himalayan / Scram 411 to look better, pull harder and sound like a proper ADV while still remaining usable on long rides with DB-killer installed, the Vertex Polish from Under The Hood is a top-tier, proven choice.

Key Features

  1. Tailor-made for Himalayan & Scram 411 – Official RRP product page lists compatibility as Himalayan / Scram 411 only, eliminating guesswork.

  2. Grade 304 stainless-steel body (SS304) – Highest commonly used exhaust grade; rust-free and built for harsh terrains and weather.

  3. Chrome / Polish finish – Mirror-polished surface that gives a premium ADV look while protecting against corrosion and wear.

  4. Ceramic wool technology – RRP highlights ceramic wool for superior thermal resistance and optimised exhaust flow vs. glass wool.

  5. Up to 10% power & torque gain (claimed) – Official FAQ notes up to 10% increase in power and torque with RRP exhausts, delivering quicker acceleration and smoother rides.

  6. Deep, throaty ADV sound – Icon call-outs on RRP site: “Deep, Throaty Sound”, with DB-killer supplied to keep volume manageable for touring.

  7. Lightweight ~3.118 kg design – Official spec lists 3.118 kg, improving handling compared with heavier stock silencers.

  8. Easy bolt-on installation – RRP notes “fits straight onto your existing setup with no big changes needed”; fully reversible at any good garage.

  9. Lifetime anti-rust & manufacturing warranty – Official FAQ clearly states lifetime warranty against rust and manufacturing defects.

FAQs

Q1. Will this Vertex Polish exhaust fit the new Himalayan 450 or Guerrilla 450?
No. The Vertex Polish is tailor-made only for the Himalayan 411 & Scram 411. RRP has a separate Vertex Pro line for Himalayan 450 and other platforms. Do not install this system on 450/452 or Guerrilla 450.

Q2. Do I need an ECU remap after installing this exhaust?
RRP’s FAQ states an ECU remap is not mandatory; their exhausts are tuned for balanced power and efficiency on stock mapping. A remap or piggyback ECU can help extract full benefit if combined with high-flow filter or other engine mods.

Q3. Will my mileage drop with an RRP Vertex?
Official RRP FAQ: “No noticeable drop — our exhausts are tuned for balanced power and efficiency.” Riding harder to enjoy the sound will of course reduce mileage, but the exhaust itself isn’t designed to kill fuel economy.

Q4. Is this exhaust street-legal in India?
RRP clearly mentions: “Officially, no” for street legality, but they supply a DB-killer to keep sound within manageable limits. Always ride with the baffle installed on public roads and follow local RTO rules.

Q5. What warranty do I get on the Vertex Polish?
RRP’s FAQ confirms a lifetime warranty against rust and manufacturing defects on their exhausts, subject to registration and normal use (no cutting, abuse, or extreme modifications).
