The Royal Enfield RLF00015/A Inlet Valve (Kidney Bean) is the genuine OEM intake valve used in the J-Series 349cc engine, fitted to Meteor 350, Classic 350 Reborn and Hunter 350. Official Royal Enfield price lists list RLF00015/A as “VALVE-INLET”, and OE parts catalogues describe it as “VALVE-INLET (KIDNEY BEAN)”, confirming it as the factory intake valve for the new-gen 350 platform.
This valve’s “kidney bean” profile is designed around the high-swirl, torquey J-Series cylinder head, giving efficient cylinder filling, stable idle and strong low-end response. If your engine has low compression, intake valve leakage, burnt valve face or poor performance after overheating, replacing the damaged valve with a genuine RLF00015/A restores proper sealing and airflow.
Under The Hood supplies only original Royal Enfield-spec RLF00015/A, ideal for top-end rebuilds alongside the matching exhaust valve RLF00016/A, valve springs and stem seals. No jugaad, no size mismatch – just factory-correct parts for your J-Series 350.
Key Features
-
Genuine Royal Enfield OEM inlet valve – Part No. RLF00015/A, listed in official price lists as VALVE-INLET.
-
Kidney-bean intake profile engineered for the 349cc J-Series 2-valve SOHC engine (Meteor 350, Classic 350 Reborn, Hunter 350).
-
Correct stem diameter, length and seat angles for J-Series heads – ensures proper seating and long-term reliability.
-
Heat-resistant alloy construction to handle high intake temperatures and continuous Indian riding conditions.
-
Direct OEM replacement for the stock inlet valve – no machining or modification needed when used with original seats and guides.
-
Ideal for engine rebuilds where the original valve is burnt, bent, pitted or leaking on a leak-down test.
-
Works with stock valve springs, retainers, collets and stem seals (RLF00043/B etc.), avoiding compatibility guesswork.
-
Pairs perfectly with RLF00016/A exhaust valve to restore full OEM valvetrain performance during a top-end overhaul.

FAQs
Q1. How many RLF00015/A inlet valves does my bike use?
The J-Series 350 engine uses a 2-valve head (1 inlet + 1 exhaust). So you need one inlet valve (RLF00015/A) and one exhaust valve (RLF00016/A) per engine.
Q2. Will this fit my older Classic 350 UCE or Bullet 350 UCE?
No. Those engines use completely different valve sizes and part numbers. RLF00015/A is only for J-Series 349cc engines (Meteor 350, Classic 350 Reborn, Hunter 350).
Q3. How do I know my inlet valve needs replacement?
Typical symptoms are hard starting, low compression, popping through the intake, loss of power, poor idle, or a failed leak-down test showing air escaping through the intake port. A mechanic will confirm valve leakage during head inspection.
Q4. Should I replace both inlet and exhaust valves together?
Not mandatory, but highly recommended if the engine has run high mileage or suffered overheating/detonation. Replacing RLF00015/A (inlet) together with RLF00016/A (exhaust) gives a fresh matched set and usually better long-term reliability.
Q5. Can I install this at home?
Valve replacement requires head removal, valve-spring compressor, lapping tools, torque wrench and timing knowledge. For most riders, it’s best done by a trained mechanic.
