Say goodbye to chain noise, jerks and uneven power delivery on your Pulsar 200 NS / AS. The Rolon BSOR 183 Chain & Sprocket Kit is a genuine high-performance replacement kit built around a 520 solid-bush O-ring chain and OE-spec sprockets. Rolon is one of India’s leading OEM suppliers, and this kit mirrors OE specs while adding better sealing, longer life and smoother power transfer.

You get a 14T front and 39T rear sprocket paired with a 108-link R520BSOR-108-1 chain – the same tooth combo most riders prefer for balanced city + highway riding on the early Pulsar 200 NS / AS. The solid-bush design and O-ring sealing reduce friction and keep lube inside the chain, which means quieter running, less stretch and longer service intervals compared to cheap local kits.

At Under The Hood, every kit is sourced from authorised Rolon channels, billed properly and packed carefully to survive courier abuse. If your NS/AS has started giving chain slap, clunking shifts or random jerks under acceleration, this kit restores clean power delivery and confidence for daily commuting, touring and spirited weekend rides.

For newer Pulsar NS models with different rear sprocket tooth counts, please check our HPOR / HPORO range or verify your stock sprocket before ordering.

Key Features

  • Genuine Rolon kit – BSOR 183: Direct fit for Pulsar 200 NS / AS (old generation) with 39T rear sprocket.

  • OEM-grade sprocket combo – 14T front (S 02 249) + 39T rear (S 02 513) for balanced acceleration and cruising.

  • 520 solid-bush O-ring chain (R520BSOR-108-1) – better sealing, reduced wear and longer chain life vs open roller chains.

  • 108 links pre-matched to sprockets – no cutting or guesswork; designed around OE wheelbase and adjuster range.

  • Heat-treated, induction-hardened teeth for high strength and consistent engagement under hard acceleration.

  • Zinc/anti-corrosion coating on sprockets to resist rust in monsoon and daily use.

  • Precision machining + shot blasting – smoother running, less vibration and quieter chain operation.

  • Designed for “pro biking & racing” – tested for high-RPM use and aggressive riding.

  • Perfect upgrade over worn stock kit – fixes chain slap, jerky pick-up and snatchy throttle response.

  • Backed by Under The Hood – genuine product, expert fitment advice and access to chain lube/maintenance guides via our blog & YouTube.

Compatibility Table

Make / Model Engine / Gen Fuel / BS Stage Years (approx.) Notes
Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS 199.5cc single, first-gen NS Carb, BS3–early BS4 2012–2015 (“old”) Fully confirmed for NS 200 with 39T rear sprocket & 108L chain.
Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 199.5cc single (NS-based) Carb, BS3 2015–2017 Confirmed where bike uses 14/39 sprockets and 108L chain.
Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 BS6 199.5cc FI, BS6 (latest shape) EFI, BS6 2023* *Listed as “Pulsar NS 200 BS6 2023” on our genuine Rolon box label. Please verify that your bike also runs 14/39 with 108-link chain before ordering.

Caution:
Later NS200 variants with **40T or 41T rear sprockets, different hub pattern or 110-link chain use HPOR / HPORO / HPORC kits, not BSOR 183. Check teeth count and hub pattern before purchase.

Variants

This listing is for the standard black Rolon BSOR 183 O-ring kit:

  • Chain finish: standard steel (non-brass)

  • Sprocket finish: zinc-coated steel

For riders wanting:

  • Less noise → consider Rolon BSOR-280-NF (Noise-Free) kits.

  • Premium brass look → consider HPORC brass kits (higher price, cosmetic upgrade).

You can link those as separate products.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • Always compare teeth count (14/39) and hub pattern with your existing sprockets before installation.

  • Replace the entire kit (front, rear, chain) together to avoid premature wear.

  • Recommended chain slack: follow Bajaj owner’s manual; typically around mid-span 20–30 mm with rider off the bike.

  • Lube every 500–700 km or after heavy rain / washes using quality chain lube; avoid kerosene on O-rings.

  • After installation, ride gently for 50–100 km to let the chain bed-in before hard acceleration.

  • Under The Hood can install this kit at our Varanasi studio; customers outside the city can share fitment photos/videos for guidance over WhatsApp.

FAQs

Q1. Will this Rolon BSOR 183 kit fit my Pulsar NS 200?
If your NS200 uses a 39T rear sprocket and 108-link chain, this kit is designed for it. It directly fits old-shape NS 200 (2012–2015) and AS 200. For newer NS200 models with 40T/41T rear or different hub pattern, you’ll need a different Rolon kit (HPOR / HPORO / HPORC).

Q2. Is BSOR 183 better than the stock chain kit?
Yes. It matches OEM specs but uses a solid-bush O-ring chain, which holds lube better, reduces wear, and usually lasts longer than many factory-supplied non-O-ring or lower-spec chains when maintained correctly.

Q3. Will this kit change my bike’s top speed or mileage?
No. With the same 14/39 gearing as stock, acceleration, top speed and mileage remain broadly the same—just smoother and more consistent because of reduced slippage and jerk.

Q4. How do I confirm if it’s genuine Rolon?
Every kit comes in sealed Rolon packaging with proper branding, QR / hologram (where applicable) and correct part number KIT BSOR 183. Under The Hood bills all orders with GST invoice and sources only from authorised distributors.

Q5. Do I need any extra parts or modifications?
No modifications are required if your bike matches the 14/39-39T spec. It is a direct bolt-on replacement. We recommend inspecting and, if needed, replacing chain adjusters, wheel bearings and cush-drive rubbers if they show play or wear.
