Is your Honda Unicorn’s chain making khad-khad noises, needing adjustment every few days, or jerking when you accelerate? That’s the classic sign of a worn-out drivetrain. The Rolon CSB Kit F121 is a genuine, sealed-ring chain & sprocket kit specifically engineered for Honda Unicorn 150 “New Alloy Wheel” models – not a universal mix-and-match set.

Rolon pairs a R428HCS sealed chain with 126 links and precision-cut sprockets – 15T front, 43T rear – exactly as listed in Rolon’s own kit catalog for Unicorn New AW. The sealed HCS chain design locks grease inside the links, keeping friction low and dramatically reducing rust, stretch and noise versus cheap open chains.

On the road that translates into smoother pickup, cleaner gear shifts and a quieter ride, whether you’re commuting daily, carrying a pillion or doing 100-km highway runs. You also keep stock gearing (15/43), so mileage, speedometer and engine character remain factory-correct.

Buying from Under The Hood means 100% genuine Rolon stock, careful packaging, GST invoice and real workshop support from people who fit these kits on customer Unicorns every week. Pair this kit with a good chain lube and our chain-care blog and your Unicorn’s rear wheel will feel brand-new again.

Key Features

  • Exact Rolon part: CSB Kit F121, listed by Rolon as “Unicorn New AW (Alloy Wheel)” chain kit.

  • Correct gearing: Front sprocket 15 teeth, rear sprocket 43 teeth – factory-spec ratio for smooth city and highway riding.

  • R428HCS sealed chain, 126 links: Heavy-duty 428 pitch sealed (HCS) chain with 126L length as per Rolon catalog – better life and lower maintenance.

  • Optimised for Unicorn alloy-wheel hub: Sprockets and chain are matched to the OE alloy-wheel carrier and spacing – no trial-and-error.

  • High-strength steel sprockets: Induction-hardened teeth for longer life under Indian stop-go traffic and heavy pillion use.

  • Reduced noise & chain slap: Sealed design plus precise machining means quieter, smoother drive vs local kits.

  • Stock-like mileage: Because gearing stays OE (15/43), you regain smoothness without sacrificing fuel efficiency.

  • Made by Rolon – OEM trusted: Manufactured by L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros (Rolon), a major OE supplier with strict QC and global exports.

  • Under The Hood advantage: Genuine kits only, safe packing, WhatsApp support for fitment doubts and optional in-house installation at our Varanasi studio.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • Always replace chain + both sprockets together to avoid premature wear.

  • After installation, align the rear wheel correctly and set chain slack exactly as per the Honda Unicorn owner’s manual.

  • Re-check slack after the first 200–300 km as the new chain beds in.

  • Clean the chain every 500–800 km (or sooner in rain/dust) using kerosene or dedicated chain cleaner – avoid petrol and harsh solvents.

  • Lube immediately after cleaning and after every wet ride using quality chain lube (we recommend Rolon / Motul / Liqui Moly, available in our store).

  • Never run the bike with an over-tight chain; it stresses bearings and gearbox. Likewise, an excessively loose chain can jump teeth under load.

  • If you’re unsure, local riders can book professional fitment at Under The Hood Studio, Varanasi.

FAQs

Q1. Will Rolon F121 fit my Honda Unicorn 160 or Unicorn Dazzler?
No. CSB F121 is only for CB Unicorn 150 “New Alloy Wheel” models. Unicorn 160 uses kit F213, and Unicorn Dazzler uses NOR 161 and other kits with different tooth counts and chain type. Always choose the kit that exactly matches your bike model.

Q2. What are the exact specs of Rolon F121?
Rolon’s catalog lists F121 as a sealed-ring kit with R428HCS chain (126 links), 15T front sprocket and 43T rear sprocket, built for Honda Unicorn New Alloy Wheel variants. This keeps the gearing and feel identical to stock while improving durability.

Q3. Is this better than the local chain kits I get at the market?
Yes. F121 uses a sealed HCS chain and hardened sprockets, which typically last much longer, run quieter and stretch less than no-name open chains. With basic cleaning and lubrication, many Unicorn owners see significantly more kilometres between replacements compared to cheap kits.

Q4. Will this kit change my bike’s mileage or top speed?
No major change. Because the tooth count remains 15/43, your acceleration, cruising RPM and fuel efficiency stay close to factory. What you’ll feel is smoother power delivery and less jerkiness, especially under load.

Q5. Can I just change the chain and keep my old sprockets?
Technically you can, but it’s strongly not recommended. Old sprockets develop hooked teeth that quickly chew up a new chain. For best performance and value, always install the complete kit – chain plus both sprockets.
