Is your Pulsar 150 Twin Disc starting to feel jerky, noisy or lazy off the line? The Rolon HPOR 294 Chain & Sprocket Kit is the OEM-grade upgrade built specifically for the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i 2018-onwards Twin Disc variant. Using a high-performance 520 O-ring sealed chain (R520HPOR-106-1) with 106 links and precision-cut 14T front / 42T rear sprockets, this kit restores crisp power delivery, reduces chain slap and extends service life compared to worn stock sets.

Rolon is one of India’s leading OE suppliers for motorcycle chains and sprockets, and the HPOR series is engineered for higher load, better anti-wear characteristics and lower running noise. The rear sprocket uses hardened high-strength steel while the front sprocket features advanced anti-wear technology for maximum power transfer.

At Under The Hood, you get only genuine Rolon kits sourced from authorised distributors, backed by enthusiast support from a real workshop—not just an online catalog. Perfect for daily commuting, spirited weekend rides and highway touring with luggage or pillion, this kit is a direct-fit replacement for the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc drivetrain when you want smooth, quiet and reliable performance for thousands of kilometres.

Key Features

  • Bike-specific fitment – Designed for Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i Twin Disc (2018-onwards); not a universal kit.

  • Correct gearing included14T front sprocket / 42T rear sprocket / 106-link chain as per Rolon kit catalog for Pulsar 150 DTS-i 2018 Twin Disc.

  • 520 O-Ring sealed chain (R520HPOR-106-1) – Better lubrication retention, lower stretch and longer life than standard non-sealed chains.

  • Hardened high-strength rear sprocket – Carbon steel sprocket with induction-hardened teeth for superior wear resistance and consistent performance.

  • Precision anti-wear front sprocket – Machined with tight tolerances to reduce backlash, improve power transfer and minimise drivetrain noise.

  • Smoother acceleration & reduced chain noise – HPOR series kits are tuned for quiet operation and smoother pickup, especially in city stop-go traffic.

  • Corrosion-resistant finish – Rolon’s coating and sealed design help protect against rust from monsoons and daily washing.

  • Direct-fit, no modifications – Uses the original Pulsar 150 Twin Disc front spline and 4-hole rear hub pattern; bolts directly in place of OEM kit.

  • Genuine Rolon product – Supplied by L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros. Ltd., the same group that supplies chains and sprockets to major OEMs.

  • Backed by Under The Hood – Expert fitment help, careful packaging and optional in-house installation at our studio (Varanasi) for local riders.

Variants

This listing covers the standard Rolon HPOR 294 steel 520 O-Ring chain & sprocket kit for Pulsar 150 Twin Disc.

If you want a visual upgrade with brass-finish links, look for our separate listing for the Rolon brass chain kit for Pulsar 150 Twin Disc (HPORC / BSORC series), ideal for riders prioritising looks along with performance.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × R520HPOR-106-1 O-Ring Chain (106 links) – pre-assembled continuous chain.

  • 1 × 14-tooth Front Sprocket – correct spline for Pulsar 150 DTS-i Twin Disc.

  • 1 × 42-tooth Rear Sprocket – 4-hole mounting pattern for Pulsar 150 Twin Disc hub.

(Mounting hardware is normally reused from your OEM kit; replace if worn.)

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • Recommended to get the kit installed by a trained technician with proper chain alignment tools.

  • After installation, set chain slack as per Bajaj Pulsar 150 owner’s manual (typically around 25–30 mm at the mid-span; check manual for exact spec).

  • For sealed chains, Rolon recommends re-lubrication every ~500 km using Rolon chain lube or SAE 90 oil after cleaning with kerosene/approved chain cleaner and a soft nylon brush.

  • Avoid high-pressure washing directly on the chain and sprocket hubs to prevent premature wear.

  • Always replace chain and both sprockets together to avoid rapid wear of new components.

FAQs

Q1. Will the Rolon HPOR 294 kit fit my Pulsar 150 single-disc model?
A: No. HPOR 294 is designed specifically for the Pulsar 150 DTS-i Twin Disc (2018-onwards). Single-disc Pulsar 150 variants use a different sprocket/hub combination and should use their dedicated Rolon kit.

Q2. Does this kit fit the new Pulsar P150 (2022-onwards)?
A: The new Pulsar P150 is built on a different platform with its own chain and sprocket specs. HPOR 294 is not confirmed for the P150, so we recommend using a P150-specific kit or verifying tooth count, chain pitch and hub pattern with a technician before ordering.

Q3. How is this better than my stock chain kit?
A: The HPOR series uses a 520 O-Ring sealed chain and hardened sprockets, offering longer life, better power transfer and reduced noise versus many worn factory-fitted non-sealed or economy chains. You’ll feel smoother pickup, fewer jerks and less chain slap when maintained correctly.

Q4. Is this an original Rolon product or a local duplicate?
A: We source all Rolon kits directly from authorised distributors of L.G. Balakrishnan & Bros. Ltd. Every box has Rolon branding, batch details and kit number HPOR 294. Under The Hood does not deal in local or unbranded copies.

Q5. Will changing to this kit affect my mileage or engine warranty?
A: When installed correctly with the same 14T/42T gearing as stock, fuel efficiency remains similar—many riders actually see better mileage due to smoother, less-draggy operation. As this is an OE-spec replacement kit, it typically does not affect engine warranty, but always follow Bajaj’s service guidelines and consult your service centre if in doubt.
