Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • Always install with the chain and both sprockets replaced together; do not mix new chain with old sprockets.

  • Ensure correct chain slack (approx. 25–30 mm / ~1 inch) measured at the tightest point with the bike on side-stand, rider weight considered.

  • Lubricate the chain every 500–700 km for off-road / adventure use, and after every water wash or rain ride, using a proper chain lube (Rolon / Motul / equivalent).

  • Deep clean with chain cleaner and a nylon brush every 2,500–3,000 km or sooner if you ride in mud and slush. Avoid petrol, thinner or high-pressure water directly on O-rings.

  • Inspect chain adjusters, cush-drive rubbers (dampers) and sprocket carrier while fitting; replace worn dampers for best life and reduced backlash.

  1. Will the Rolon HPOR 334 kit fit my Hero Xpulse 200 4V?
    No. HPOR 334 is designed for Hero Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200Fi two-valve models (BS4 and BS6 2V). The Xpulse 200 4V uses a different sprocket/chain spec and requires a dedicated kit (e.g., HPORF 398 / HPORC 411).

  2. Is this better than the stock Xpulse chain & sprockets?
    In most cases, yes. You get an OE-spec tooth count with Rolon’s high-quality 520 O-ring chain, induction-hardened sprocket teeth and improved rust protection. This translates into smoother power delivery, less chain noise and longer service life when maintained properly.
