The genuine Royal Enfield 1120071/A – Ring, Fuel Cap is the OE finishing ring that sits around the tank fuel-filler on the Thunderbird X family. Official parts index calls it exactly “RING–FUEL CAP” and the 2024 RE price list shows the same part number.

This ring does two things: (1) cosmetic – it finishes the Thunderbird X tank opening so the cap area matches the black/contrast theme, and (2) protective – it shields the paint edge around the filler from key/cap scratches and fuel splash.
