This is the factory Royal Enfield 570248/E – Assy. Kick Starter Gear (35T) used on UCE singles that still have the kick-start mechanism. In the RE microfiche for Bullet 500 Euro 4 and Classic/Bullet 350–500 UCE, this part appears exactly as “ASSY. KICK STARTER GEAR – 570248/E” and is the current replacement for earlier 570248/D. It meshes with the kick idler/pawl set to crank the engine when you operate the kicker. Because it’s OEM, the tooth count (35T), spline/bore, chamfer and heat treatment are exactly to factory spec, so it engages cleanly, doesn’t chew the mating gear, and keeps kick effort normal.
