The Royal Enfield 581098/B Grip Comp. Throttle RH is the genuine right-hand accelerator grip with integrated throttle tube used on multiple UCE 500 models. It is the updated replacement for earlier part 581098/A, as shown in Royal Enfield microfiche and price lists, and is specified as “Grip Comp. Throttle RH” for Classic and Bullet UCE families as well as Continental GT 535.

This assembly combines the inner plastic throttle sleeve and outer rubber grip in one OE unit, ensuring smooth rotation, correct cable engagement and a positive snap-back. Over time, original grips become hard, torn, oily or damaged after a fall, which can make the throttle sticky or uncomfortable. Replacing it with a new 581098/B restores factory feel and is far safer than locally cut grips on a worn tube.

Because this is a genuine OEM part, the pattern, length and diameter match the stock left grip and bar-end weights, and it fits perfectly inside the original switch housing and throttle housing without any jugaad. Q1. Is this only the rubber grip or the whole throttle tube?
This is the complete Grip Comp. Throttle RH, including the inner plastic tube and outer rubber grip. You remove your old assembly from the handlebar and slide this one in.

Q2. Will 581098/B fit my new Classic 350 Reborn / Meteor 350 / Hunter 350?
No. Those are J-Series bikes and use a different throttle grip and housing. This part is for older UCE Classic/Bullet/Electra 350–500 and GT 535 only.

Q3. Do I need to remove the master cylinder or switch housing to install it?
You need to open the RH switch/throttle housing, disconnect the cables from the old tube, slide the old tube off, then install this new assembly and reconnect the cables. A basic DIYer can do it, but if in doubt, have a mechanic fit it and verify a free-returning throttle.

Q4. Can I use this with aftermarket handlebars?
As long as the bar diameter is the same (7/8" / 22 mm) and you are using OE-style switchgear and throttle housing, it will usually work. For custom bars with different ends or no bar-end weights, some adaptation may be required.

Q5. Do I get both sides (LH+RH) in the box?
