This is the genuine Royal Enfield 586017/A – SPLIT PIN – CENTRE STAND. The same number appears on multiple dealer and fiche pages and is shown as the split pin that locks the centre-stand spindle/bracket on a very wide range of Royal Enfield bikes – from UCE Bullets and Classics to Thunderbird 350/500 and even older AVL/CI models. Because we have two independent sources that list it for TBTS, Bullet 350 UCE (KS/ES), Electra 350 UCE, Classic 350, Classic 500 EFI.

It’s a small, cheap but critical fastener: it keeps the centre-stand spindle from walking out. If a random hardware-store pin is too soft or thin, the stand can loosen. This OE part has the right diameter/length for RE’s centre-stand eye, so it locks properly and you can bend the legs over cleanly.
