This is the genuine Royal Enfield 867036 – TANK DÉCOR PLATE LH – PC-NT51/VT31. It’s the left-hand side cosmetic plate that sits on the tank of the late Thunderbird 350 NTB, Thunderbird 500 NTB, and the Thunderbird X (TBX) 350/500 family. 

Because it’s OEM, the curvature, mounting points and finish match the tank and the RH plate exactly — so if your left side got scratched in a tip-over, or the bike has just been repainted and the old plate looks dull, you can bolt this on and the two sides will match again. Powder coating (PC) in the NT51/VT31 shade is what RE used on the TBX/NTB blacked-out parts, so it ties in with their tail-lamp bracket, front mudguard and grab rails.

Q3. Will it fit a 2012 Thunderbird (older TBTS tank)?
Those early TBTS tanks often didn’t have this plate – fitment is confirmed for the later NTB/TBX style. Check your tank bosses first.

No — Classic tank doesn’t have the same mounting and shape.

Q5. Does it include bolts/tape?
