What You Will Receive

Royal Enfield documents two valid mounting-hardware revisions. Style A uses four M6 × 16 and two M6 × 12 bolts. Style B uses two M6 × 20, two M6 × 16 and two M6 × 12 bolts. Technical Details

Protection and Use Note

An engine guard may help keep some motorcycle parts away from direct ground contact during certain low-speed incidents. It cannot prevent every form of damage, and the result depends on impact speed, direction, surface, motorcycle load and contact point.

• It does not guarantee protection for the engine, frame, tank, exhaust, handlebar, controls or body panels.
• It is not a stunt cage, towing point, lifting point, footrest or tie-down anchor.
• It does not replace a sump guard for impacts from directly beneath the engine.
• Do not drill, cut, heat, bend or weld the guard to mount auxiliary products.
• After any fall, inspect the guard, frame mounts, fasteners, cable route and exhaust clearance before riding.

Installation Note

Royal Enfield lists an approximate fitting time of 20 minutes. Installation requires removal of an original cradle fixing, controlled torque application and motorcycle-specific clutch-cable routing. Installation by an authorised Royal Enfield workshop or qualified motorcycle technician is strongly recommended.

1. Support the motorcycle securely on level ground before starting.
2. Confirm KXA00007, the motorcycle model, VIN and kit revision before removing original hardware.
3. Assemble the brace bar to the top mount with the specified M6 bolts; tighten to 8 Nm.
4. Attach the left and right Trapezium assemblies to the top mount using the correct M6 bolts and washers; tighten to 8 Nm.
5. Remove the original M10 bolt and nut from the motorcycle cradle as directed.
6. Locate the lower guard mount first and ensure clearance from the exhaust-header pipe.
7. Install the supplied M10 × 240 bolt, washers and U-nut; apply 55 Nm to the bolt head rather than the nut.
8. If a compatible genuine sump guard is fitted, follow the special instruction that omits the two M10 washers between the cradle and engine guard.
9. Install the top mount to the chassis with the two M8 bolts and nuts; tighten to 25 Nm.
10. Route the clutch cable behind the engine guard using the exact model-specific wire-guide arrangement.
11. Check and adjust clutch-cable free play to the applicable Royal Enfield specification.
12. Verify exhaust clearance, control operation, cable movement and steering before riding.

The torque values above are taken from Royal Enfield instruction KXL00074 Issue E for the documented engine-guard family. Follow the latest instructions supplied with the kit and the current model-specific workshop information if they differ.

Black Powder-Coat Care

• Wash with mild automotive shampoo, clean water and a soft cloth.
• Remove mud, road salt, fuel, brake fluid and chemical contamination promptly.
• Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish, harsh solvents and pressure-washer jets at the coating edges.
• Do not conceal coating damage with an unverified paint before inspecting the underlying tube.
• Check all mounting points and fasteners periodically and after rough-road riding.
• Do not ride if the guard is loose, bent, cracked or touching the exhaust, cable or motorcycle body.
• After impact, have a technician inspect the guard and frame/cradle mounting points.

Fitment Note / Return Prevention

Before opening or fitting, confirm the motorcycle is a Meteor 350, current J-series Classic 350, All-New J-series Bullet 350 or Goan Classic 350. Share the full VIN if the motorcycle generation is uncertain.

Engine guards are installation-sensitive products. Parts showing bolt marks, coating scratches, bent brackets, cross-threading, missing hardware, road use, impact, modification or attempted installation on an incompatible motorcycle may not qualify for return, subject to applicable law and the current store policy.
