Genuine Royal Enfield 873149 is a complete rear mudguard / rear fender in the Desert Storm colour specification for the older Royal Enfield Classic UCE rear-mudguard family. Royal Enfield's current parts description is REAR MUD.COMP.W/STICKER - CL DES.STORM.

Important: “Desert Storm” describes the factory colour / graphic specification. It does not mean the mudguard can only be used on a motorcycle originally sold as a Desert Storm. The same Classic UCE rear-mudguard architecture is used across compatible Classic 350 UCE and Classic 500 EFI/UCE applications, so this part may also be used as a genuine Desert Storm-colour replacement or colour conversion where the motorcycle has the matching Classic UCE rear-mudguard mounting arrangement.

Model-Generation Warning

Royal Enfield used more than one rear-mudguard mounting arrangement during the UCE Classic production run, including older and newer mounting patterns. Before ordering, compare the existing rear mudguard, carrier arrangement, number-plate / tail-lamp mounting and fixing-hole pattern with the replacement part or confirm the exact VIN/EPC application.

Do not order only by the words “Classic 350”. This is for the older Classic 350 UCE generation, not the newer 349cc J-Series Classic 350 Reborn.

Not Direct-Fit / Do Not Assume Compatibility

• Classic 350 Reborn / J-Series: different generation and rear-body architecture.
• New Bullet 350 J-Series: different platform.
• Bullet 350 / Bullet 500 UCE: Royal Enfield catalogues the Bullet/Electra rear-mudguard assembly separately from the Classic rear-mudguard family. Do not advertise 873149 as direct fit solely because the motorcycle uses a UCE engine.
• Electra 350 UCE: separate rear-mudguard assembly family; do not claim direct fit without physical / EPC confirmation.
• Thunderbird / Thunderbird X: different rear mudguard and subframe arrangement.
• Himalayan, Meteor, Hunter, 450 and 650 models: not compatible.

Desert Storm Colour vs Motorcycle Model

The factory description contains CL DES.STORM because this genuine part is finished for the Classic Desert Storm colour scheme. The colour name should not be confused with the mechanical fitment family. A compatible Classic 350 UCE or Classic 500 UCE in another factory colour may use this mudguard when the owner intentionally wants the Desert Storm finish and the rear mounting configuration matches.
