Installation must be performed by a qualified Royal Enfield or motorcycle-engine technician. The cylinder bore must be measured before installation. Check ring orientation, ring end gaps, piston direction, piston-pin retention, cylinder clearance, fastener torque, lubrication and timing according to the applicable workshop manual. Incorrect diagnosis, assembly, bore preparation or lubrication can cause immediate and severe engine damage.

Use new engine gaskets and seals wherever specified by the workshop manual. Prime the lubrication system and follow the engine builder's recommended initial start-up and running-in procedure.
