Keep your Sherpa 450 running crisp and reliable with the genuine Royal Enfield RLV00019/B Ignition Coil Assembly – K_PLATFORM. This is the OEM ignition coil used on the latest liquid-cooled 452cc Sherpa engine that powers the Himalayan 450 and the Guerrilla 450 roadster.

Listed in the official electrical parts catalogue for the Himalayan 450 (2024-on) and supplied by multiple authorised Royal Enfield dealers worldwide, RLV00019/B replaces earlier coil revisions (RLV00019) while maintaining exact factory specifications.

A healthy ignition coil is critical for strong spark, smooth cold starts, stable idling and clean throttle response – especially on long tours, off-road rides and hot Indian summers. If your bike is misfiring, cutting out under load or showing random engine-warning behaviour, a weak coil is a common culprit. Swapping to this 100% genuine Royal Enfield spare, packed in original RE packaging, restores OE performance and avoids the guesswork of local aftermarket coils.

Ideal for owners who ride hard, tour long distances or simply want showroom-fresh reliability from their Sherpa 450, this coil is a direct plug-and-play replacement with stock wiring and ECU – no modification required.

Note: This coil is specific to the K-Platform Sherpa 450 and does not fit Himalayan 411, Scram 411, J-Series 350, or 650 Twins.

Key Features

  • Genuine Royal Enfield Part: OEM ignition coil assembly, part no. RLV00019/B, K_PLATFORM specification.

  • Designed for Sherpa 450 engine: Correct output and resistance for the 452cc liquid-cooled DOHC single used in Himalayan 450 & Guerrilla 450.

  • Factory-correct fitment: Direct bolt-on with original bracket, connector and HT lead routing – no wiring cuts or jugad.

  • Stable spark & smooth running: Helps cure misfires, hesitation, poor cold starts and random stalling caused by weak/failed coils.

  • Safe for long tours & off-road use: Built to handle high under-tank temperatures and sustained highway/off-road riding typical of Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450 usage.

  • Genuine packaging & traceability: Supplied as an original Royal Enfield electrical component – no loose, unbranded coil risk.

  • Prevents ECU & plug damage: Correct OEM coil spec protects the ECU and spark plug from over/under-voltage stress compared to non-OE coils.

  • Long-term value: One correct coil now is cheaper than repeated breakdowns, towing, and trial-and-error aftermarket parts.

FAQs

Q1. Will RLV00019/B fit my older Himalayan 411 or Scram 411?
A. No. This coil is specific to the new Sherpa 450 K-Platform used in Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450. The older 411cc LS410 engine and Scram models use completely different ignition components and connectors. Using this coil on those bikes is not recommended.

Q2. How do I confirm if this is the correct coil for my bike?
A. Check your bike’s VIN and parts catalogue with a Royal Enfield dealer, or cross-check the part number on your existing coil or the official electrical microfiche for Himalayan 450 / Guerrilla 450. The correct OEM part number listed is RLV00019/B (Ignition Coil Assembly – K_PLATFORM).

Q3. Do I need any wiring modification or ECU update after installing this coil?
A. No. This is a direct plug-and-play OEM replacement. As long as your bike is a Himalayan 450 or Guerrilla 450 with the stock harness and ECU, you simply swap the old coil with this unit and reconnect the plug and HT lead.

Q4. My bike is misfiring and showing an engine warning. Will changing the coil fix it?
A. A weak or failing ignition coil can cause misfires, rough idle and intermittent engine-warning lights. Replacing it with a genuine RLV00019/B is a logical first step, but you should also inspect the spark plug, wiring, and any stored fault codes to rule out other issues.

Q5. Is this better than aftermarket ignition coils available locally?
A. For the Sherpa 450, we strongly recommend genuine RE electrical parts. This coil is matched to the OEM ECU mapping and spark plug spec, whereas many unbranded coils don’t match resistance or output properly, which can shorten ECU and plug life and cause inconsistent performance.
