Royal Enfield RLX00074/B – Guard Silencer Assy LH is the genuine left-side exhaust heat shield used on the Continental GT 650 (domestic / India-spec). It is the updated “/B” revision of the well-known RLX00074 series silencer guard that appears in the official 650 Twins exhaust microfiche.

Mounted on the left silencer can, this guard protects the rider and pillion from direct contact with the hot muffler while also completing the classic twin-pipe look of the GT & Interceptor 650. Because it is a Royal Enfield OEM part, the bend, length, mounting hole spacing and chrome finish match the factory-fitted unit exactly. No re-drilling or bending is required – you simply bolt it on using the stock fasteners listed in the same exhaust parts diagram.

This part is ideal if your original guard is scratched, dented, rusted, or missing after a fall or exhaust swap. Restorers who are returning a modified GT 650 back to stock will also want this exact piece to maintain originality and resale value.

Note: earlier Euro-IV / export 650 Twins commonly use RLX00074/A for the same position. RLX00074/B is shown specifically in the Continental GT 650 Domestic Model & Interceptor 650 Models

FAQs

Q1. Will RLX00074/B fit my Interceptor 650?
YES

Q2. What exactly is included in this listing?
You get 1 × genuine Royal Enfield Guard Silencer Assy LH – RLX00074/B. Mounting bolts, stopper caps and brackets are not included; they must be reused from your existing setup or ordered separately.

Q3. Can I use this with aftermarket slip-ons?
This guard is designed around the OEM 650 Twins silencers and their mounting points. It may not align correctly with universal or aftermarket exhausts. If your aftermarket pipes retain the factory guard mounts, it may fit, but we cannot guarantee it.

Q4. Is this part left–right interchangeable?
No. RLX00074/B is specifically the left-hand (LH) guard. The matching right-hand guard uses a different part number (e.g., RLX00073/B in the same fiche).

Q5. When should I replace my silencer guard?
Replace it when it is bent, cracked, heavily rusted or missing mounting tabs, or if it no longer sits securely on the exhaust. A damaged guard can rattle, scratch the chrome or fail to protect against heat.
