The Red Rooster Performance (RRP) Bash Plate / Engine Guard is a heavy-duty underbody shield designed specifically for the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Made from high-grade Stainless Steel 304, it resists rust, impacts and stone hits far better than mild-steel or generic alloy plates used in cheaper guards.

The bash plate covers the front and underside of the engine, oil sump and vulnerable exhaust bends, wrapping around the sides for added security when you hit broken roads, speed breakers or mild trails. Precision laser-cut slots help reduce weight, aid airflow and make cleaning easier, while the branded RRP logo adds a clean, factory-upgrade look.

This is a direct bolt-on kit for the RE 650 Twins – no frame cutting or welding required, and all mounting hardware is included in the box. Choose from Black Matte, Matte (brushed silver) or Polish (mirror finish) to match your exhaust, crash bars and overall build theme.

Q1. Will this RRP bash plate fit my Continental GT 650 or only Interceptor 650?
Yes, it is designed for the Royal Enfield 650 Twins – both Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, all years and BS4/BS6 variants.

Q2. Do I need to modify the chassis or exhaust for installation?
No. This is a bolt-on kit using the existing mounting points on the frame and supplied brackets/bolts. No cutting, welding or drilling of the frame is required.

Q3. Is it compatible with aftermarket exhausts?
With most slip-on exhausts that retain the stock dual-pipe routing, fitment is generally fine. For 2-into-1 or very low-routed headers, customers should check clearance or consult us before ordering. (Add “❓ Verify fitment” note on product page for highly modified bikes.)

Q4. Will it reduce ground clearance or cause scraping on speed breakers?
The plate sits close to the engine to offer protection without hanging too low. On stock-height bikes used with sensible luggage loads, ground clearance remains adequate for Indian highways and city use.

Q5. Is stainless steel 304 really rust-free?
SS304 is highly corrosion-resistant, especially versus mild steel, and is the standard for premium motorcycle guards. Basic washing and occasional cleaning will keep it looking new for years.
