SILMAN C-Bend Pipe for Royal Enfield Classic 350/500 UCE, Bullet Standard & Electra – Chrome | With / Without O2 Sensor
Looking for a C-bend / bend pipe for an older Royal Enfield UCE motorcycle? This SILMAN chrome exhaust bend pipe is offered in two clearly separated versions so you can match the pipe to the actual exhaust system on your bike:
- LPA3 – Without O2 Sensor Port: for compatible UCE BS3 / BS4 applications where the existing bend pipe does not have an oxygen sensor screwed into it.
- LPA7 – With O2 Sensor Port: for compatible final-generation UCE BS6 fuel-injected 350cc applications that require the factory O2 sensor to be fitted into the exhaust header.
This distinction is critical. A BS6 UCE motorcycle with an oxygen sensor needs the sensor-port version; an older no-sensor UCE setup needs the no-sensor version. Do not order only by the words “Classic 350” or “Bullet”. Check the engine platform and your existing bend pipe first.
Choose the Correct Variant
| Variant | SILMAN Code | Sensor Provision | Primary Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Without O2 Sensor | LPA3 | No O2 sensor bung / port | Compatible UCE BS3 / BS4 Classic, Bullet Standard & Electra layouts |
| With O2 Sensor Port | LPA7 | Threaded port for the motorcycle's existing O2 sensor | Compatible UCE BS6 fuel-injected 350cc Classic, Bullet Standard & Electra layouts |
Important: The LPA7 variant includes the sensor port in the bend pipe. It does not mean an oxygen sensor is supplied with the pipe. Reuse the correct motorcycle O2 sensor if serviceable, or purchase the correct sensor separately.
Why This Listing Separates UCE, BS Stage & Sensor Type
Royal Enfield used the UCE (Unit Construction Engine) platform across several Classic, Bullet Standard and Electra motorcycles, but the exhaust arrangement changed over the years. The later BS6 UCE 350 received fuel injection and an oxygen sensor in the exhaust header. Earlier BS3/BS4 UCE versions commonly use the no-sensor bend-pipe configuration.
That means two bend pipes can look very similar online while being wrong for each other's motorcycles. The easiest pre-purchase check is physical:
- If an O2 / oxygen sensor is screwed into your current header pipe, choose the With O2 Sensor Port – LPA7 variant.
- If your current UCE C-bend has no sensor and no threaded sensor bung, choose the Without O2 Sensor – LPA3 variant.

UCE vs Classic 350 Reborn – Do Not Confuse Them
The older Classic 350 UCE and the newer Classic 350 Reborn (J-Series) are different engine and exhaust platforms. A bend pipe sold for UCE Classic 350 should not be ordered for the Reborn simply because both motorcycles are called “Classic 350”.
If your motorcycle is the newer J-Series Classic 350, Meteor 350, Hunter 350 or current Bullet 350, use the bend pipe specifically designed for that platform and its correct sensor configuration.
What “With O2 Sensor” Actually Means
On the BS6 UCE 350, the oxygen sensor is part of the fuel-injection feedback system. The LPA7 version provides a threaded location so the motorcycle's sensor can remain installed in the exhaust header.
The sensor itself is not part of this bend-pipe listing. If your existing sensor is damaged, missing or has a different thread/connector requirement, the bend pipe alone will not replace it.
Why Riders Replace the Bend Pipe
A bend pipe / header may need replacement because of:
- Rust, corrosion or perforation
- Dents or physical impact damage
- Exhaust leakage at a damaged joint
- Poor fitment from an old aftermarket pipe
- Changing to a compatible aftermarket silencer/exhaust setup
- Replacing a damaged or restricted existing header as part of an exhaust repair/modification
Free-Flow / Sound Expectations
This style of aftermarket bend pipe is commonly sold in the Royal Enfield accessory market as a free-flow bend pipe / free-flow header. Changing the bend pipe can alter exhaust flow and may change the final exhaust note, especially when paired with an aftermarket silencer.
However, the bend pipe alone does not guarantee a particular “dug-dug”, bass level, loudness, horsepower gain or throttle-response improvement. Final behaviour depends on the silencer, engine condition, fuel system, exhaust sealing, catalytic-converter arrangement, tuning and installation.
C-Bend vs L-Bend – Check the Shape
Royal Enfield UCE owners commonly encounter both C-type / C-bend and L-type / L-bend aftermarket headers. These terms describe the routing/profile of the pipe. They should not be treated as interchangeable only because both fit a UCE engine family.
Before ordering, visually compare your existing bend-pipe route with the product image. If your motorcycle currently uses a different routing style, mounting position or silencer alignment, confirm fitment before installation.
Before You Buy – Zero-Wrong-Order Checklist
- Confirm UCE engine: this listing is for the older Unit Construction Engine platform, not J-Series.
- Check for an O2 sensor: sensor present = choose LPA7; no sensor = choose LPA3.
- Confirm BS generation: LPA3 is the no-sensor BS3/BS4 option; LPA7 is the BS6 UCE 350 sensor-port option.
- Match the bend shape: confirm you require the C-bend / short-bend style.
- Check 350 vs 500: LPA7 is for compatible BS6 UCE 350 applications, not a generic 500cc sensor option.
- Compare silencer joint: your silencer inlet, clamp location and mounting alignment must suit the selected pipe.
- Inspect old gasket: a crushed or leaking exhaust gasket should be replaced during installation.
- Do not order by registration year alone: model transitions and previously modified exhaust systems can make year-only fitment unreliable.
What You Receive
- 1 × SILMAN chrome C-bend / exhaust header pipe in the selected variant
Unless specifically shown or stated as included with the supplied batch, the following are not part of this listing: O2 sensor, silencer, exhaust gasket, clamp, flange/collar nut, heat shield, mounting hardware or catalytic converter.
Installation Guidance
- Professional installation is recommended for correct exhaust alignment and leak-free sealing.
- Install only when the engine and exhaust are fully cold.
- Inspect the cylinder-head exhaust gasket and replace it if crushed, damaged or leaking.
- Do not force the bend pipe into alignment by excessive tension; incorrect alignment can create leaks or vibration stress.
- For LPA7, carefully remove and refit the existing O2 sensor using suitable tools and avoid twisting/damaging its wiring.
- Do not operate the BS6 sensor-equipped motorcycle with the sensor port left open.
- After installation, start the engine and inspect all joints for exhaust leakage or soot marks.
- Recheck clamps and mounting fasteners after initial heat cycles.
Chrome Exhaust Finish – What Buyers Should Know
Chrome exhaust pipes operate at very high temperatures. Heat tinting, yellowing, blueing or gradual finish changes can occur depending on engine tune, riding conditions, exhaust temperature, cleaning chemicals and maintenance. This is not advertised as a finish that can never discolour.
Use exhaust-safe cleaning products only after the pipe has cooled completely. Avoid aggressive abrasives and acidic wheel cleaners on the chrome surface.
Emissions / Road-Use Note
Aftermarket or free-flow exhaust components can change the motorcycle's original exhaust and emissions configuration. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Use the correct O2-sensor provision on BS6 motorcycles and ensure the complete exhaust system complies with applicable local noise and emissions rules. This listing does not represent the pipe as an OEM emissions-certified replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is this bend pipe for Royal Enfield Classic 350?
Yes, for compatible Classic 350 UCE models. Choose LPA3 when the current pipe has no O2 sensor, or LPA7 when the final-generation UCE BS6 350 uses an O2 sensor in the header.
2. Will this fit Classic 350 Reborn?
No. Classic 350 Reborn uses the newer J-Series engine/exhaust platform.
3. What is LPA7?
LPA7 is the SILMAN short-bend UCE BS6 chrome variant with provision for the O2 sensor used on compatible fuel-injected UCE 350 motorcycles.
4. What is LPA3?
LPA3 is the SILMAN UCE short-bend chrome variant used for compatible no-sensor UCE applications, commonly BS3/BS4.
5. Does LPA7 include the oxygen sensor?
No. It includes the threaded O2 sensor port in the pipe. The sensor itself is not included.
6. How do I know which variant to order?
Look at your current bend pipe. If a wired sensor is screwed into the exhaust header, choose the sensor-port version. If there is no sensor/bung and the bike is the compatible older UCE layout, choose the no-sensor version.
7. Does the no-sensor version fit BS6?
Do not use the no-sensor LPA3 on a BS6 UCE motorcycle that requires an O2 sensor in the header.
8. Does LPA7 fit Classic 500?
This listing does not claim LPA7 fitment for Classic 500. The BS6 sensor-port variant is intended for compatible final-generation UCE 350 applications.
9. Will LPA3 fit Classic 500 UCE?
It is sold for compatible UCE BS3/BS4 Classic 350/500-style no-sensor exhaust layouts, but compare the current pipe routing and silencer connection before ordering.
10. Will it fit Bullet Standard 350?
Yes where the motorcycle is the older UCE platform and the selected sensor/no-sensor configuration matches. It is not for the new J-Series Bullet 350.
11. Will it fit Electra 350?
Yes for compatible UCE Electra layouts when the selected variant matches the existing sensor configuration and pipe routing.
12. Is this a genuine Royal Enfield bend pipe?
No. It is a SILMAN aftermarket bend pipe for compatible Royal Enfield UCE applications.
13. Is this a C-bend or L-bend?
This listing is for the C-bend / short-bend style. Compare the product shape with your existing exhaust before ordering.
14. Is this a free-flow pipe?
It belongs to the aftermarket free-flow bend-pipe category commonly used with UCE exhaust modifications. Exact sound and engine response depend on the complete exhaust system and motorcycle setup.
15. Will this make my bike louder?
It may change exhaust character, particularly with an aftermarket silencer, but no fixed loudness or sound result can be guaranteed from the bend pipe alone.
16. Does it increase power?
No specific horsepower or torque gain is promised. Performance depends on the complete intake/exhaust/fuelling setup and engine condition.
17. Is a copper gasket included?
Do not assume so. Unless the current supplied batch specifically shows/includes a gasket, this listing should be treated as bend-pipe-only.
18. Should I change the exhaust gasket during installation?
It is recommended when the existing gasket is crushed, damaged or leaking because a poor head joint can cause exhaust leakage and soot marks.
19. Can a mechanic weld an O2 bung onto the no-sensor version?
That would be a custom modification and is not the intended selection method. For a compatible BS6 UCE 350, choose the purpose-made LPA7 sensor-port variant.
20. Can chrome change colour from heat?
Yes. Exhaust temperature can gradually cause yellowing, blueing or other heat tinting. The degree varies with engine tune, heat and use.
21. Does this fit Meteor 350 / Hunter 350?
No. Those motorcycles use the J-Series 350 platform and require different exhaust headers.
22. Does this fit the new Bullet 350?
Not the current J-Series Bullet 350. This listing is for older UCE motorcycles.
23. Can I use my stock silencer with this bend pipe?
Only where the silencer inlet diameter, clamp location and overall alignment match the selected C-bend. Compare the existing setup before installation.
24. Can I use an aftermarket Punjab / Indori / stock-replica silencer?
Many UCE aftermarket silencers are designed around compatible bend-pipe connections, but exact joint diameter and mounting must still be checked. Do not assume every aftermarket silencer uses the same inlet.
25. What is the safest way to avoid ordering the wrong version?
Confirm three things before checkout: UCE engine, C-bend shape, and O2 sensor present or absent. If any of those are uncertain, compare your current pipe before ordering.
