TVS Ronin 225 Front Exhaust Guard / Silencer Heat Shield – NF050380

TVS catalogue-reference front muffler heat guard for compatible TVS Ronin 225 motorcycles using the NF050380 exhaust assembly.

The TVS NF050380 Guard Exhaust Front is the curved exterior guard covering the forward section of the Ronin muffler/exhaust arrangement. It is intended for individual replacement when the correct original guard becomes scratched, bent, cracked, loose or otherwise damaged.

Important: One front exhaust guard only. This product is not the larger rear muffler shield, a complete silencer, an exhaust pipe or a full mounting-hardware kit. The exact Ronin exhaust version must be checked before ordering.

Why this particular part number matters

TVS Ronin motorcycles use more than one exhaust/muffler configuration. Even though the forward exhaust guard appears in a shared earlier assembly, the rear exhaust cover differs between Base/SS, Base+/DS and Mid/TD variants. Later OBD-IIB parts references also list another front-guard code. An apparently similar cover should never be treated as interchangeable based on the motorcycle name alone.

TVS Ronin 225 model fitment

Motorcycle / configuration Status Verification note
TVS Ronin 225 ABS, earlier 1CH Base / SS Catalogue-listed NF050380 is the front guard; rear guard NR050110 is separate
TVS Ronin 225 ABS, earlier 1CH Base+ / DS Catalogue-listed NF050380 is the front guard; rear guard NR050010 is separate
TVS Ronin 225 ABS, earlier 2CH Mid / TD Catalogue-listed NF050380 is the front guard; rear guard NR050150 is separate
TVS Ronin 225, latest OBD-IIB revisions Verify; not a blanket fitment claim Updated catalogue identifies NR050580 for an OBD-IIB front exhaust guard
Other updated Ronin exhaust / aftermarket silencer Not established Compare physical guard shape, mounting holes and original SKU
TVS Apache, Raider, RTR, RR310, other motorcycles Not confirmed Use their model-specific exhaust parts catalogue

Fitment priority: Match the removed front guard, the original printed TVS part number and mounting points. For OBD-IIB or newly revised models, use a VIN/chassis-based TVS parts check. A motorcycle’s registration year by itself is not sufficient.

Front versus rear exhaust guards

TVS identifies NF050380 as the front exhaust guard, positioned toward the forward section of the exhaust. The bigger external rear silencer shield is a different part with variant-specific references. Ordering a rear guard will not replace a missing front guard.

What you receive

1 × TVS Ronin Front Exhaust Guard – NF050380.

  • Not the complete muffler, end can or full exhaust pipe.
  • Not the separate rear exhaust guard, including NR050110, NR050010 or NR050150.
  • Not a pair or a full front-and-rear cover set.
  • Separately catalogued mounting screws, washers, brackets, exhaust gasket and other fixings are not promised as included.
  • No separate O2 sensor, engine components, servicing consumables or installation labour.

What does a front muffler guard do?

This outer guard forms part of the original exhaust covering and provides a physical barrier in the designated section where accidental contact with the hot muffler may otherwise occur. It also restores the intended exterior appearance when the original part is damaged.

Heat safety: Exhaust systems become extremely hot during operation. A guard does not eliminate burn risk and can itself heat up. Never handle, clean or service the exhaust until the motorcycle has cooled fully.

Reasons to inspect or replace this guard

  • The original curved front cover is cracked, deformed or damaged after a fall.
  • Its surface finish is severely scratched or damaged.
  • Mounting tabs are damaged or the guard is loose.
  • An exhaust-area rattle is traced to this guard after inspecting the screws and washers.
  • The original guard is missing and the exact NF050380 configuration is verified.

A rattle can also originate from loose bolts, washers, the muffler, exhaust mounting bracket or another cover. Replacing this guard alone will not resolve all exhaust noises.

Pre-purchase checklist

  • Identify your TVS Ronin variant and whether it is a newer OBD-IIB specification.
  • Confirm the original front guard part number is NF050380.
  • Inspect the shape, curve, fixing holes and the surrounding exhaust assembly.
  • Confirm you need the front guard, not the larger rear cover.
  • Check if fixing screws or washers are missing and order them separately if required.
  • Do not assume the finish or exact colour from a diagram; inspect current physical stock if colour matching is important.
  • For modified or aftermarket silencers, do not assume direct fitment.

Installation guidance

Allow the exhaust to become completely cool before any inspection or repair. Inspect the original muffler surface, mountings, screws and washers before removing the existing guard. Compare the original with the replacement and ensure the fixing locations align correctly.

Install according to the motorcycle-specific TVS service procedure using the correct hardware and tightening specifications. Do not drill, cut, bend or reshape an incompatible guard to force it to fit. After installation, verify that the guard sits securely without rattling, and that it has appropriate clearance from the exhaust, chassis, suspension and moving components.

If the mounting points or muffler itself are damaged, have the complete exhaust assembly inspected by a qualified technician.

Cleaning, maintenance and care

  • Only clean the guard once the exhaust is fully cool.
  • Use a soft cloth and mild motorcycle-safe cleaner; avoid aggressive abrasive compounds.
  • Inspect for loose hardware, vibration, cracks and abnormal contact during routine servicing.
  • Check surrounding heat-affected components after a fall or crash.

OEM part-number and genuineness note

NF050380 is an official TVS parts-reference number appearing in Ronin-specific exploded diagrams and the TVS online parts store. The actual retail unit’s genuine-stock status should be confirmed using its manufacturer packaging, labels and markings. No claim about the exact composition or packaged hardware is made without inspection of current stock.

NF050380 is the catalogue reference for the front exhaust guard on specified TVS Ronin 225 muffler assemblies.

Q2. Is it for the front or rear section of the exhaust?

Front section. The larger rear muffler guard uses separate part numbers depending on the Ronin variant.

Q3. Will it fit my TVS Ronin 225?

It is listed in the earlier Ronin 225 ABS 1CH/2CH muffler catalogue. Confirm the original SKU and mounting arrangement, especially for updated models.

Q4. Does it fit Ronin SS or single-channel Base?

NF050380 is listed as the front guard in the earlier shared muffler assembly. The rear guard for Base/SS is separately catalogued.

Q5. Does it fit Ronin DS or Base+?

The earlier shared muffler assembly lists NF050380; the Base+/DS rear cover is a different component, NR050010.

Q6. Does it fit Ronin TD or the dual-channel Mid version?

The earlier catalogue lists NF050380 for the front section and NR050150 as the separate Mid/TD rear guard.

Q7. Does it fit 2025 or 2026 Ronin OBD-IIB?

Not automatically. Updated catalogue references identify NR050580 for an OBD-IIB front guard. Verify through the VIN or original part before ordering.

Q8. Is NF050380 interchangeable with NR050580?

Interchangeability has not been confirmed. They are different references and should not be substituted without the correct manufacturer parts information.

Q9. Is this the same as NR050110?

No. NR050110 is a separate rear muffler guard for the applicable Base/SS configuration.

Q10. Is this the same as NR050010?

No. NR050010 is a rear exhaust guard for a different Ronin variant.

Q11. Is this the same as NR050150?

No. NR050150 is a rear guard used in the earlier Mid/TD catalogue.

Q12. Is it the complete silencer?

No. This listing is for one outer front exhaust guard only, not the muffler body, full exhaust assembly or exhaust pipe.

Q13. Will I receive both front and rear exhaust guards?

No. One front exhaust guard only.

Q14. Does it include the screws and washers?

TVS lists mounting hardware separately. A separate fastener kit is not promised in this product listing.

Q15. What is the related fixing screw number?

K2200090 is listed as an M6×10 truss head cap screw in the Ronin muffler diagram. Verify actual fixing requirements for your variant.

Q16. Does it include an exhaust gasket?

No separate exhaust gasket is listed as included. N9053170 appears as a separate muffler gasket in the diagram.

Q17. What is the colour and material?

The parts diagram shows the general form, but the exact finish and material of current physical retail stock have not been independently confirmed. Inspect the product or pack before purchase.

Q18. Is this a heat shield?

It is a front exhaust guard that provides a barrier over a designated hot exhaust area. It does not make the exhaust safe to touch.

Q19. Will the guard stay cool during riding?

No. The guard can become hot during and after operation. Let the complete exhaust cool before touching it.

Q20. Will fitting a new guard reduce exhaust noise?

No reduction in exhaust noise is promised for this cosmetic/protective outer guard.

Q21. Does it increase horsepower or mileage?

No. The component is a front exhaust guard, not a tuning or engine-performance part.

Q22. Can it replace a bent or scratched original guard?

Yes, when the replacement profile, mounting points and exact manufacturer part number match the original component.

Q23. Can it be fitted to an aftermarket exhaust?

Not without verifying the replacement exhaust’s geometry and fixing arrangement. Universal fitment is not claimed.

Q24. Can I fit it myself?

An experienced person may service the guard following the TVS service procedure, but a qualified technician is recommended if exhaust hardware or mounting points are damaged.

Q25. What should I check upon delivery?

Confirm NF050380 on the pack, inspect guard condition, shape and mounting points, and verify all separately required hardware before fitting.

Q26. Is NF050380 an official TVS part number?

Yes. It is shown in Ronin 225 parts catalogues and the TVS official online parts store. Actual stock authenticity should be checked from the packaging.

Q27. Does it fit TVS Apache or Raider?

No other motorcycle application has been independently verified for NF050380; use the correct model-specific parts catalogue.

Q28. What if my exhaust guard is rattling?

First inspect the guard mounting hardware and exhaust assembly. Rattling can result from loose or worn hardware, not necessarily a defective guard.

Q29. What is the MRP?

The dated 2 May 2024 TVS list shows ₹352. The current legal retail MRP is the one on the physical pack and must be checked before sale.

Q30. Is the rear silver exhaust guard available separately?

For the relevant Ronin Base/SS configuration, UTH lists NR050110 separately. Confirm your rear-guard version before ordering.
